This dual purpose wheelchair / bed is a step in the right direction for the physically challenged or elderly and gives way to more ideas that will undoubtedly result from this kind of forward thinking. As a person who assists someone who is unable to move freely on their own this type of product is definitely a welcome concept. When used as a bed the Combed features a two layer mattress that uses air and gel for added comfort without the need of additional thickness allowing the bending process to occur when used in the wheelchair configuration.
