Dyning Outdoor Bench

The Dyning Outdoor Bench brings natural wood elements to a modern sculptural level. The fluid curves remind one of the flow of water creating a simple yet elegant form for outdoor seating.

Land Ho! By Nola

Inside or outside, the Land Ho planter bench is a great edition to any space. This modern design is sleek and bright and provides not only seating space but space to grow anything you want, flowers, a tree or vegetables. Very cool.

Tina Roeder White Billion Chairs

This is a very cool idea! Tina Roeder has taken the obligatory white outdoor chair and turned it into an original with nothing more than a Dremel and a drill bit. See Appel Design for more images.

Before And After Outdoor Space

The bones were there but Landscape architect Sasha Tarnopolsky removed a small lap pool, which was located just a few feet from the back door, and in its place installed a simple concrete patio that acts as an extension of the dining and living areas. She added a concrete bench at the end of the patio to provide built-in seating and placed a discreet water feature nearby (water bubbles up through gravel from a cistern hidden below). Tarnopolsky filled most of the remaining space with lawn, providing a soft contrast to the hard geometry of the concrete forms. The rest of the landscaping consists of simple, low-maintenance plants. Organic Wasp and Bee Trap

I've been looking for a non-toxic way to deal with wasps and bees in my outdoor space and I've found this smartly designed organic bee and wasp trap. Now I know these insects do so much for the world of nature, but their encroachment on my outdoor sitting area is making it hard to use, and I don't want to go around spraying bug killer. Here's a stunning option designed by Pernille Vea for Menu.
